Our surroundings
The house is set in about 30 acres halfway up the side of a hill about 2 kilometres from our local village Roquecor. Above us are oak woods with meadows below stretching down to a minor road and a lake.
There are plenty of tracks for walks and runs on and around the property as well as terraces and quiet corners for reading and study. Our neighbours are farmers growing crops like maize and sunflowers.
The local village which boasts a small shop and cafe is about a half hour walk away and we are always happy to provide transport to the local market on a Saturday morning in our local town.
We have a 16 metre heated swimming pool with wonderful views down the valley and now have a small inflatable dinghy for taking out on the lake.
Accommodation
We have a farm building which has been converted into a two bedroom cottage with two bathrooms and a sitting room, together with a breakfast/kitchen area. It faces the house across the courtyard.
There are also two spacious double/twin rooms in the main house with their own bathrooms and french windows opening on to the grass terrace. Two smaller bedrooms with their own bathrooms are available at the top of the house.
Music Spaces
Our music barn is generally where concerts are held and can also be used for rehearsals. Below the barn is a Green Room with comfortable sofas and facilities for hot and cold drinks.
The main salon of the house can also be used for individual and group rehearsals. There are plenty of other rooms around the property which can be used for individual rehearsals. We have a number of music stands available.
In the house we have a 1920s Bechstein 5' 8" Grand, and in the music barn there is a 2008 Yamaha C2 Grand.
